International Affairs Division

Vision
The International Affairs Division is to provide internationally standard and systematic operations to service and foster international cooperation with universities, institutes and organisations around the world, in order to aid the university in achieving its vision.
Role
The Division is comprised of 5 separate sections, each with their own particular functions and responsibilities:

- Public Relations and Information
- General Affairs
- Scholarships and Exchange Programmes

Responsibilities
- Developing and fostering collaboration with foreign academic institutions
- Writing reports and drafting Memorandums of Understanding to be signed by the authorised persons
- Setting up the meetings, international conferences, seminars, workshops for international guests visiting Mae Fah Luang University for collaborative purposes
- Maintaining communication with partnering institutions namely by emails, letters, as well as telephone and fax
- Organising outbound trips for the executive management team

- Planning and preparation for receptions and ceremonies
- Promoting the University by arranging exhibitions
- Publication of the MFU Prospectus, International Students’ Handbook, Fact Sheets, English Newsletter
- Planning and Promoting of the International Affairs Division events
- Website maintenance

- Assisting international students during the admissions process and throughout matriculation
- Handling all necessary visa procedures for students and faculty
- Planning international activities, to provide cultural exchange for international students

Assisting with international scholarship application procedures

Assisting with international research grant application procedures

Expediting inquiries from international organisations for the development and implementation of 'tailor-made' training courses

Office Hours and Location
The International Affairs Division Office is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. We are located in the Office of the President (AD Building), on the Ground floor. |
