By Royal Appointment from H.M. the King, H.R.H. Princess Mothers initial was granted to be in the University emblem signifying royalty and propitiousness. The Thai numerals of eight and nine refer to the H.R.H. Princess mother being the Mother of both the late king Rama VIII and the current King Rama IX, Flowers and leaves convey the Universitys commitment to sustainable development and the on-going enhancement of environmental quality and human life.
