Institute for Natural Resources and Environmental Management
A specialized university research centre, the Institute for Natural Resources and Environmental Management, develops scientific knowledge and policy recommendations on this topic. The Institute focuses on regional environmental, natural resources and biodiversity challenges facing the Greater Mekong Sub-region: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and China's two southernmost provinces. With the center of this region being Chiang Rai, MFU's Institute acts as Secretariat to coordinate research for 11 regional universities.

The Sirindhorn Chinese Language and Culture Centre
The Sirindhorn Chinese Language and Culture Centre provides state-of-the-art facilities for Chinese language and culture studies. The building is equipped with exhibition halls with Chinese artifacts and paintings, computer laboratories equipped with multi-media tools, libraries with Chinese textbooks, reference, periodicals and maps. Supported by the People's Republic of China, The Sirindhorn Chinese Language and Culture Centre is the only one of its kind outside of mainland China.

Confucius Institute
The Confucius institute aims to provide Thai learners of Chinese with superior learning conditions, promote Sino-Thai cultural exchange, and enhance mutual understanding and friendship between Chinese and Thai people.

The Project on Establishment of Mekong Basin Civilization Museum
The Project on Establishment of Mekong Basin Civilization Museum was set up to create a museum based on the research of arts and culture in the Mekong Sub-region, to provide knowledge-based services for the research community, and to disseminate information.

Mae Fah Luang University Business Incubator
Mae Fah Luang is one of twelve universities selected to pilot the "university business incubator" to promote entrepreneurship within the University. The Mae Fah Luang University Business Incubator aims to create a nurturing environment for faculty, students, graduates, staff and other entrepreneurs to nurture commercially viable ideas into products or services.

Mae Fah Luang University
The French-Upper Mekong Sub-region Academic Cooperation Center at Mae Fah Luang University is a center for knowledge exchange between France, Thailand and other countries within the Greater Mekong sub-region.
