Collaborative Network Initiative and Operation Planning for the Fiscal Year 2014 |

 The School of Science made a trip for the collaborative network with external organizations and operation planning, funded by Mae FahLuang University, for the fiscal year 2014 between 30th of April and 3rd of May 2013. This year, the School of Science, Mae FahLuang University, made a trip along with a discussion of the academic collaborative network at the Institutes of Science, Scientific & Technological Instruments Center, Suranaree University of Technology as well as the Synchrotron Light Research Institute (Public Organization), NakhonRatchasima. Then, the school held a brainstorm on the operation planning to write the project proposals for the fiscal year 2014 budget. |

Mathematics and Science Talent Development Programfor Secondary School Students 4th Program (4th camp) and 5th Program (2nd camp)
The School of Science together with the Center for Academic Services, Mae Fah Luang University, collaborated on organizing the Mathematics and Science Talent Development Program for the secondary school students, 4th program (4th camp) and 5th program (2nd camp) during 22nd and 26th of April 2013. The programs were funded by the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), Ministry of Education, Thailand, with the aims to develop students’ thinking and analytical skills in accordance with scientific method by conducting scientific projects. Each program consists of 6 camps to gradually develop science process skills. |

On 23rd April 2013, faculty members and students of the School of Science attended the water sprinkle ceremony to ask for blessings from the Buddha images during the Songkran festival and also presided over a “Rod Nam Dam Hua” ceremony to show gratitude and respect to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vanchai Sirichana, president of Mae Fah Luang University, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Tuangrak Nantawisarakul, dean of the School of Science. Additionally, such activities help to conserve traditional ways of this delightful festival of Thailand. |

An assistant dean, Dr. Chureeporn Thanomsilp, joined academic staffs of the School of Science to welcome the Principal, Prof. Dr. Kazuo Harada, and the Guidance Counselor, Mr. Tomohiko Takasaki, from Tokyo Gakugei University Senior High School, and also teaching staffs from Princess Chulabhorn's College Chiang Rai on 29th March 2013. This meeting was arranged for the interchange of information in learning and teaching activities between the School of Science, Mae Fah Luang University and Tokyo Gakugei University Senior High School. Furthermore, the collaborative network to support the study of science in secondary/high schools was also discussed. |

 On 21st March 2013, dean of the School of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tuangrak Nantawisarakul, along with the school faculty members welcomed visitors from the department of Microbiology and Parasitology, Faculty of Medical Science, Naresuan University, Phitsanulok province, Thailand. This school visit provided knowledge exchange in Education Quality Assurance and initiated the cooperation network between the two institutions. |
