มฟล. พบทูตจีน กระชับความร่วมมือและขยายโอกาสการศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ และนวัตกรรม สู่อนาคตร่วมไทย–จีน

ศาสตราจารย์พิเศษ ดร.วันชัย ศิริชนะ นายกสภามหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง พร้อมด้วยกรรมการสภามหาวิทยาลัย อธิการบดี รองอธิการบดี และผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนายจาง เจี้ยนเว่ย (H.E. Mr. Zhang Jianwei) เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนประจำประเทศไทย ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ กรุงเทพมหานคร เมื่อวันที่ 29 มกราคม 2569

การเข้าพบครั้งนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงการขยายความร่วมมือในสาขาที่เป็นอนาคตของภูมิภาค อาทิ ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี และการแพทย์ การสร้างเครือข่ายเยาวชนผู้นำไทย–จีน รวมถึงการเชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้ด้านเศรษฐกิจ การค้า และโอกาสทางธุรกิจ เพื่อรองรับการเติบโตของภาคอุตสาหกรรมและการลงทุนในภูมิภาค นายจาง เจี้ยนเว่ย ได้ให้แนวทางและสนับสนุนต่อยอดกิจกรรมเพื่อขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือให้เกิดผลเป็นรูปธรรม สอดคล้องกับบริบทโลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว

ศาสตราจารย์พิเศษ วันชัย ศิริชนะ ได้กล่าวถึงบทบาทของมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงในฐานะสถาบันอุดมศึกษาที่ตั้งอยู่ในพื้นที่ยุทธศาสตร์ภาคเหนือของประเทศไทย มีความเชื่อมโยงกับอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขง และทำหน้าที่เป็นสะพานเชื่อมความร่วมมือระหว่างประชาชนไทย–จีน โดยมุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์รุ่นใหม่ การแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและบุคลากร ตลอดจนการขับเคลื่อนโครงการด้านภาษา วัฒนธรรม และวิทยาศาสตร์เพื่อการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน

การเข้าพบในครั้งนี้แสดงถึงความสัมพันธ์อันดีและความร่วมมือที่ใกล้ชิดระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนประจำประเทศไทย ซึ่งมีความร่วมมืออย่างต่อเนื่องมาอย่างยาวนาน นับตั้งแต่การริเริ่มก่อตั้งศูนย์ภาษาและวัฒนธรรมจีนสิรินธร โดยมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงพร้อมขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษาอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม เพื่อสนับสนุนความเป็นหุ้นส่วนความร่วมมือเชิงยุทธศาสตร์อย่างรอบด้านระหว่างประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน

MFU Meets with Chinese Ambassador to Strengthen Cooperation and Expand Opportunities in Education, Science, and Innovation for Thailand-China Future

Associate Professor Dr. Vanchai Sirichana, President of the Mae Fah Luang University Council, accompanied by university council members, the President, Vice Presidents, and executives of Mae Fah Luang University, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mr. Zhang Jianwei, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Thailand, at the Embassy in Bangkok on January 29, 2025.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the expansion of cooperation in fields critical to the region's future, including artificial intelligence (AI), science, technology, and medicine, the development of Thai-Chinese youth leadership networks, and the integration of knowledge in economics, trade, and business opportunities to support industrial growth and investment in the region. Ambassador Zhang Jianwei provided guidance and support for advancing collaborative activities to achieve tangible results in alignment with the rapidly changing global context.

Associate Professor Dr. Vanchai Sirichana highlighted Mae Fah Luang University's role as a higher education institution strategically located in northern Thailand, connected to the Greater Mekong Subregion, and serving as a bridge for Thai-Chinese people-to-people cooperation. The university focuses on developing the next generation of human resources, facilitating student and staff exchanges, and driving projects in language, culture, and science for sustainable development.

This visit demonstrated the strong relationship and close cooperation between Mae Fah Luang University and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Thailand, which has been sustained over many years since the establishment of the Sirindhorn Chinese Language and Culture Center. Mae Fah Luang University remains committed to driving concrete educational cooperation to support the comprehensive strategic partnership between Thailand and the People's Republic of China.
