มฟล.ต้อนรับนักศึกษาใหม่ชาวต่างชาติ ปลูกฝังค่านิยมความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรม พร้อมสร้างพลเมืองโลก

ส่วนพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง (มฟล.) จัดกิจกรรมปฐมนิเทศนักศึกษาใหม่ชาวต่างชาติ ประจำภาคการศึกษาปลาย ปีการศึกษา 2568 เพื่อแนะนำข้อมูลสำคัญในการปรับตัวเข้ากับชีวิตการศึกษาและวัฒนธรรมไทย รวมถึงสร้างความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับระบบการศึกษา กฎระเบียบ และทรัพยากรที่มหาวิทยาลัยจัดเตรียมไว้สนับสนุนการเรียนรู้และการใช้ชีวิตของนักศึกษาต่างชาติ เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 16 มกราคม 2569 ณ ห้องประชุมคำมอกหลวง มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง

ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ร่มเย็น โกไศยกานนท์ รองอธิการบดี มฟล. กล่าวต้อนรับว่า "การเลือกเรียนที่ มฟล. คือการเลือกสถานที่ที่การเรียนรู้ วัฒนธรรม และการเติบโตส่วนบุคคลมาบรรจบกัน มหาวิทยาลัยดึงผู้คนจากวัฒนธรรม ภาษา และประสบการณ์ที่แตกต่างกันมารวมตัวกัน และความหลากหลายนี้เองที่เสริมสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมการเรียนรู้และขยายความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับโลก"

รองอธิการบดี มฟล. กล่าวต่อว่า มหาวิทยาลัยเชื่อว่าการศึกษาที่แท้จริงขยายขอบเขตเกินไปมากกว่าความสำเร็จทางวิชาการ แต่เป็นเรื่องของการพัฒนาทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์ ความซื่อสัตย์สุจริต ความยืดหยุ่นในการปรับตัว และความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคม โดยส่งเสริมให้นักศึกษาตั้งคำถาม คิดอย่างสร้างสรรค์ และเป็นผู้เรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต

"การใช้ชีวิตและศึกษาในสภาพแวดล้อมที่มีความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมอาจท้าทาย แต่ก็คุ้มค่าอย่างยิ่ง ประสบการณ์เหล่านี้จะเตรียมความพร้อมให้นักศึกษาสำหรับอาชีพการงานและการใช้ชีวิตในโลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว การพัฒนาทักษะการทำงานร่วมกับผู้คนจากหลากหลายวัฒนธรรมและการสร้างเครือข่ายระหว่างประเทศ ล้วนช่วยให้นักศึกษาประสบความสำเร็จในอนาคต" ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ร่มเย็น กล่าว

รองอธิการบดีกล่าวปิดท้ายว่า "ขอเชิญชวนให้นักศึกษาได้ใช้ชีวิตในมหาวิทยาลัยด้วยเป้าหมายและความกล้าหาญ เรียนรู้จากทุกประสบการณ์ สนับสนุนซึ่งกันและกัน และใช้เวลาที่ มฟล.อย่างเต็มที่เพื่อเติบโตเป็นพลเมืองโลกที่มีความคิดรอบคอบ มีความเห็นอกเห็นใจผู้อื่น และมีความสามารถสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลงเชิงบวกให้กับสังคม"

กิจกรรมนี้เป็นความมุ่งมั่นของ มฟล. ในการเป็นสถาบันการศึกษาระดับนานาชาติที่ส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้แบบองค์รวม มุ่งเน้นทั้งความเป็นเลิศทางวิชาการและการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะที่จำเป็นสำหรับการเป็นผู้นำและพลเมืองโลกในศตวรรษที่ 21 อาทิ ทักษะการคิดเชิงวิพากษ์ ความสามารถในการทำงานข้ามวัฒนธรรม จริยธรรม และความยืดหยุ่นในการเผชิญความท้าทาย

ทั้งนี้ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงยังคงมุ่งมั่นในการเป็น "พลังขับเคลื่อนแห่งการเปลี่ยนแปลง" ไม่เพียงแต่ในระดับภูมิภาคลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง แต่ยังรวมถึงการเป็นสถาบันการศึกษาที่สร้างบัณฑิตที่มีคุณภาพ มีวิสัยทัศน์กว้างไกล และพร้อมที่จะเป็นกำลังสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนสังคมโลกให้เจริญก้าวหน้าอย่างยั่งยืนและเป็นธรรม

MFU Welcomes New International Students, Fostering Cultural Diversity and Global Citizenship

Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), through its Global Relations Division organized an orientation program for new international students enrolling in the second semester of 2025 academic year. The program was designed to support students’ transition into academic life in Thailand by providing essential guidance on Thai culture, the higher education system, university regulations, and a wide range of academic and student support resources available at MFU.
The event was held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at , Kham Mok Luang, 5th Floor of M-Square Building, MFU. and marked an important first step in helping international students feel informed, welcomed, and connected as they begin their educational journey at the University.

Assistant Professor Dr. Romyen Kosaikanont, Vice President of MFU, delivered a welcoming address, emphasizing MFU’s commitment to diversity and holistic learning.
"Choosing to study at MFU means choosing a place where learning, culture, and personal growth intersect,” she said. “Our university brings together people from different cultures, languages, and life experiences, and it is this diversity that enriches our learning environment and broadens our understanding of the world."

She further noted that MFU views education as extending well beyond academic achievement—it is about developing critical thinking skills, integrity, adaptability, and social responsibility, while encouraging students to question assumptions, think creatively, and embrace lifelong learning."

"Living and studying in a culturally diverse environment can be challenging, but it is immensely rewarding. These experiences prepare students for both professional careers and meaningful lives in a rapidly changing world. The ability to collaborate across cultures and build international networks is an essential foundation for future success,” Assistant Professor Dr. Romyen added.

In closing, the Vice President encouraged students to approach university life with purpose and courage, to learn from every experience, to support one another, and to make the most of their time at MFU. “We hope our students will grow into thoughtful global citizens–individuals who are compassionate, open-minded, and capable of creating positive change in society," she said.
