มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงเสริมแกร่งความร่วมมือทางวิชาการกับ 4 สถาบันชั้นนำในฟิลิปปินส์ มุ่งสร้างโอกาสแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา งานวิจัย และหลักสูตรร่วม ยกระดับเป็นศูนย์กลางการศึกษาในภูมิภาคอาเซียน

ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ร่มเย็น โกไศยกานนท์ รองอธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง พร้อมคณะผู้แทนจากส่วนพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศ เยือนสาธารณรัฐฟิลิปปินส์ระหว่างวันที่ 1-5 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 เพื่อขยายการรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติและกระชับความร่วมมือทางวิชาการกับสถาบันอุดมศึกษาชั้นนำ

คณะผู้แทนเข้าร่วมงาน World Education Expos 2026 ณ โรงแรมดุสิตธานี กรุงมะนิลา และเยี่ยมเยือนโรงเรียน Starland International School และ St. Patrick School of Quezon City เพื่อนำเสนอหลักสูตร ทุนการศึกษา และศักยภาพของมหาวิทยาลัยแก่นักเรียนฟิลิปปินส์ที่สนใจศึกษาต่อในต่างประเทศ

ด้านความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ มฟล.ได้หารือกับ 4 มหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำ ได้แก่ University of the Philippines Manila ในด้านสาธารณสุข ระบาดวิทยา และเห็ดรา, University of the Philippines Diliman ด้านบริหารธุรกิจและการเป็นผู้ประกอบการ, University of Santo Tomas ขยายความร่วมมือสู่หลักสูตร 3+1 และสองปริญญาภายใต้สำนักวิชาอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร และ De La Salle University ในโครงการภาคฤดูร้อนและการวิจัยภาคสนามด้าน GMS การเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ และระบบอาหารยั่งยืน

การเยือนครั้งนี้สอดคล้องกับวิสัยทัศน์ของมหาวิทยาลัยในการเป็นสถาบันชั้นนำของอาเซียนที่ได้รับการยอมรับระดับนานาชาติ พร้อมยกระดับบทบาทเป็นศูนย์กลางด้านสุขภาพ การแพทย์ และการศึกษาในระดับภูมิภาค

MFU Broadens Academic Network in the Philippines, Expanding Pathways for Regional Student Exchange and Research Collaboration

Mae Fah Luang University has expanded its academic partnerships with four leading institutions in the Philippines, creating new opportunities for student exchange, research collaboration, and joint degree programs, and further establishing MFU within the ASEAN higher education community.

Assistant Professor. Dr. Romyen Kosaikanont, Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University, along with representatives from the Global Relations Division, visited the Philippines from February 1 –   
  5,  2026. The mission focused on expanding international student recruitment and developing sustained academic cooperation with leading Philippine institutions..

During the visit, the delegation participated in the World Education Expos 2026 at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Manila. They also visited Starland International School and St. Patrick School of Quezon City, where they introduced MFU's academic programs, scholarship opportunities, and campus facilities to prospective Filipino students considering study abroad. 
.
On the academic collaboration front, MFU held discussions with four prominent universities. At the University of the Philippines Manila, conversations centered on collaboration in public health, epidemiology, and mycology. With the University of the Philippines Diliman, the focus was business administration and entrepreneurship. At the University of Santo Tomas, both sides explored the development of 3+1 and double-degree programs under MFU’s School of Agro-Industry.Discussion with De La Salle University examined prospects for interdisciplinary summer programs and field research addressing issues related to the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS),  climate change, and sustainable food systems.

This visit reflects MFU’s long-term direction to position itself among leading ASEAN universities recognized on the international stage.  It also further defines its role as a regional center for health sciences, medical education, and interdisciplinary learning, linking Thailand more closely with academic partners across Southeast Asia.
