วันที่ 7 มีนาคม 2569 สำนักวิชาพยาบาลศาสตร์ ร่วมกับศูนย์บริการวิชาการ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง จัดโครงการการส่งเสริมทักษะครูในการให้ความรู้การดูแลเด็กและวัยรุ่นเกี่ยวกับสุขภาวะทางเพศ ณ อาคารพลเอกสำเภา ชูศรี (E4) โดยมี ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.จิราณี ปัญญาปิน หัวหน้าสาขาวิชาการพยาบาลมารดาทารกและการผดุงครรภ์ เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิด โครงการดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อส่งเสริมให้บุคลากรครูมีวิธีการถ่ายทอดความรู้และพัฒนาทักษะการสื่อสารเรื่องสุขภาวะทางเพศสำหรับเด็กและวัยรุ่นได้อย่างเหมาะสม เนื่องจากครูเป็นบุคคลสำคัญที่อยู่ใกล้ชิดกับนักเรียนมากที่สุด แต่การสื่อสารเรื่องเพศมักเป็นประเด็นที่ซับซ้อนและละเอียดอ่อน การจัดอบรมในครั้งนี้จึงมุ่งเน้นการ "ติดอาวุธ" ทางทักษะเพื่อให้ครูสามารถถ่ายทอดความเข้าใจที่ถูกต้อง อันจะนำไปสู่การลดปัญหาพฤติกรรมเสี่ยงทางเพศ การตั้งครรภ์ไม่พึงประสงค์ และการติดเชื้อทางเพศสัมพันธ์ในกลุ่มเยาวชนอย่างยั่งยืน การดำเนินงานในครั้งนี้ได้รับงบประมาณสนับสนุนจาก มูลนิธิมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงเพื่อการพัฒนาครูชนบท โดยมีกลุ่มเป้าหมายเป็นคณะครูผู้สอนในระดับประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 – 6 และระดับมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 - 3 รวมถึงครูอนามัยในเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาเชียงราย เขต 1 รูปแบบกิจกรรมเน้นการเรียนรู้แบบ Active Learning ซึ่งครอบคลุมทั้งการบรรยายเทคนิคการสื่อสาร และการอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการ (Workshop) โดยทีมวิทยากรผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากสำนักวิชาพยาบาลศาสตร์ มฟล. โครงการนี้นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (SDGs) ทั้งในด้านการสร้างเสริมสุขภาพและสุขภาวะที่ดี (Good Health and Well-Being) และการสนับสนุนการศึกษาที่มีคุณภาพ (Quality Education) เพื่อสร้างภูมิคุ้มกันที่เข้มแข็งให้กับเยาวชนในพื้นที่จังหวัดเชียงรายและพื้นที่ใกล้เคียงต่อไป
MFU School of Nursing Strengthens Rural Teachers’ Capacity in Sexual Health Communication to Promote Adolescent Well-being in Chiang Rai
On 7 March 2026, the School of Nursing at Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), in collaboration with the Center for Academic Services, organized a training program entitled “Enhancing Teachers’ Skills in Delivering Sexual Health Education for Children and Adolescents.” The event was held at the General Samphao Chusri Building (E4), Mae Fah Luang University.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr.Jiranee Panyapin, Head of the Maternal and Child Nursing and Midwifery Division. The program aimed to strengthen teachers’ capacity to effectively communicate sexual health knowledge and support the healthy development of children and adolescents.
Teachers play a vital role in shaping young people’s knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors, as they are among the closest and most trusted figures in students’ daily lives. However, discussions related to sexuality and reproductive health often involve complex and sensitive topics. This training program therefore focused on equipping teachers with appropriate communication strategies, practical teaching approaches, and essential knowledge to confidently address sexual health issues in the classroom.
The initiative was supported by funding from the Mae Fah Luang University Foundation for Rural Teacher Development. Participants included teachers responsible for Grades 4–6 at the primary level and Grades 7–9 at the lower secondary level, as well as school health teachers from the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 1.
The program adopted an Active Learning approach, combining expert lectures with interactive workshops conducted by specialists from the MFU School of Nursing. These sessions enabled participants to develop practical communication skills and exchange experiences that can be applied directly in school settings to support students’ well-being and informed decision-making.
By strengthening teachers’ competencies in sexual health education, the initiative seeks to reduce risky sexual behaviors, prevent unintended pregnancies, and lower the incidence of sexually transmitted infections among adolescents. Ultimately, the program contributes to building healthier and more resilient communities in Chiang Rai and surrounding areas.
This initiative also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education, reflecting Mae Fah Luang University’s ongoing commitment to advancing community health and education through academic service and knowledge transfer
