มฟล. มุ่งมั่นให้บริการด้านสุขภาพแก่ประชาชนทุกกลุ่ม ลงพื้นที่ตรวจคัดกรองมะเร็งเต้านมและมะเร็งปากมดลูก ณ โรงพยาบาลวัดห้วยปลากั้งเพื่อสังคม

   สำนักวิชาแพทยศาสตร์ ร่วมกับ สำนักวิชาพยาบาลศาสตร์ และ โรงพยาบาลศูนย์การแพทย์มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง จัดโครงการคัดกรองมะเร็งเต้านมและมะเร็งปากมดลูกในพื้นที่ห่างไกล เพื่อส่งเสริมการเข้าถึงบริการสุขภาพแก่สตรีในพื้นที่ทุรกันดาร โดยครั้งนี้ลงพื้นที่ ณ โรงพยาบาลวัดห้วยปลากั้งเพื่อสังคม อ.เมืองเชียงราย จ.เชียงราย เมื่อวันที่ 26 มิถุนายน 2569 โดย รองศาสตราจารย์ นพ.ปรีชา สุนทรานันท์ คณบดีสำนักวิชาแพทยศาสตร์ พร้อมด้วย อาจารย์ นพ.จุลพงศ์ อจลพงศ์ อาจารย์ประจำสำนักวิชาแพทยศาสตร์, หัวหน้าโครงการฯ นำคณะแพทย์ พยาบาล และทีมสหวิชาชีพด้านสุขภาพ ลงพื้นที่ให้บริการแก่ประชาชนกลุ่มเป้าหมาย จำนวน 100 คน ทั้งนี้ โรงพยาบาลเกษมราษฎร์ ศรีบุรินทร์ จ.เชียงราย ได้ส่งรถให้บริการเอกซเรย์และตรวจสุขภาพเคลื่อนที่ สนับสนุนโครงการในครั้งนี้ด้วย

   โครงการนี้มุ่งขยายขอบเขตการบริการไปยังประชาชนที่อยู่ในพื้นที่ห่างไกล เพื่อส่งเสริมโอกาสในการเข้าถึงการแพทย์ที่มีคุณภาพ นอกจากนี้ยังเป็นการเพิ่มทักษะในการตรวจคัดกรองมะเร็งเต้านมเบื้องต้นให้แก่บุคลากรด้านการสาธารณสุขในพื้นที่ ซึ่งเป็นปัญหาที่สำคัญระดับประเทศ และเป็นมะเร็งที่พบได้บ่อยที่สุดของจังหวัดเชียงราย

   มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง (มฟล.) โดย สำนักวิชาแพทยศาสตร์ สำนักวิชาพยาบาลศาสตร์ โรงพยาบาลศูนย์การแพทย์มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง รวมทั้งสำนักวิชาด้านวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ มีเป้าหมายสำคัญในการเป็นที่พึ่งพิงด้านสุขภาพให้แก่ประชาชนในทุกระดับ และยกระดับมาตรฐานในการดูแลและรักษาด้วยเทคโนโลยีที่ทันสมัย พร้อมเป็นศูนย์กลางการศึกษาวิจัยและพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ทางด้านวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพในอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขง ทั้งยังส่งเสริมการพัฒนาศักยภาพบุคลากรทางการแพทย์และสาธารณสุขในพื้นที่ให้มีความก้าวหน้า เพื่อประชาชนมีสุขภาพดีทุกช่วงวัย

MFU Expands Healthcare Access for All, Launching Cancer Screening Initiative at Wat Huay Pla Kang Hospital

The School of Medicine, in collaboration with the School of Nursing and the Mae Fah Luang University Medical Center Hospital, launched a mobile breast and cervical cancer screening project to enhance healthcare access for women in underserved areas.  
Held on June 26, 2026, at Wat Huay Pla Kang for Society Hospital in Mueang Chiang Rai District, this initiative was led by Associate Professor Preecha Soontranan, Dean of the School of Medicine, along with Dr. Jullapong Achalapong, Project Chair. Together with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses, they provided vital screenings to 100 target residents.

Additionally, Kasemrad Sriburin Hospital in Chiang Rai, contributed to this initiative by deploying a mobile X-ray and health check-up unit to support the onsite operations.

This project aims to expand quality medical services into remote regions, ensuring equitable healthcare opportunities. Furthermore, it focuses on upskilling local public health personnel in basic breast cancer screenings—addressing a critical national health challenge, as breast and cervical cancers are the top two cancers diagnosed in Chiang Rai Province.
