มฟล. จัด “พิธีบายศรีสู่ขวัญและงานเลี้ยงขันโตก ประจำปี 2569” รับขวัญนักศึกษาใหม่แบบล้านนา พร้อมชิมอาหารเหนือ-ชมการแสดงตระการตา

มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง (มฟล.) โดย ส่วนพัฒนานักศึกษา จัด“พิธีบายศรีสู่ขวัญและงานเลี้ยงขันโตก ประจำปี 2569” เพื่อเป็นการต้อนรับนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 อย่างอบอุ่น มีทั้งชาวไทยและชาวต่างชาติ จำนวนกว่า 4,400 คน ผ่านประเพณีท้องถิ่นล้านนาอันทรงคุณค่า เปิดโอกาสให้น้องใหม่ได้เรียนรู้ความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรม ผ่านรสชาติอาหารพื้นถิ่น เสียงดนตรี การแสดงอันตระการตา และมิตรภาพจากเพื่อนใหม่ที่เดินทางมาจากทั่วประเทศและทั่วโลก

กิจกรรมเริ่มขึ้นในช่วงค่ำของวันจันทร์ที่ 27 กรกฎาคม 2569 ณ อาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 72 พรรษา บรมราชินีนาถ (MFU Indoor Stadium) นักศึกษาหลายคนแต่งกายมาในชุดล้านนาของมหาวิทยาลัย อีกทั้งแขกผู้มีเกียรติ คณะผู้บริหาร คณาจารย์ และบุคลากรที่มาร่วมงานก็ใส่ชุดพื้นเมืองของภาคเหนืออันสวยงามมาเช่นกัน เข้ากันได้ดีกับดนตรีโฟล์คซองที่เล่นเคล้าคลอบรรยากาศในงาน

ศาสตราจารย์พิเศษ ดร.วันชัย ศิริชนะ นายกสภามหาวิทยาลัยและอธิการบดีผู้ก่อตั้งมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ให้เกียรติมาเป็นประธานในพิธี และกล่าวเปิดงานอย่างเป็นทางการ, ชินวร ฑีฆะวัฒนากร นายกองค์การบริหาร องค์การนักศึกษา กล่าวรายงานการจัดกิจกรรมที่ร่วมกับสโมสรนักศึกษาสำนักวิชานิติศาสตร์และสำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์เครื่องสำอาง, ก่อนจะนำเข้าสู่กิจกรรม “จุดเทียนส่องใจ สานสายใย แดง-ทอง” ซึ่งเป็นสัญลักษณ์แห่งการจุดแสงสว่างแห่งปัญญา ที่เปรียบวิชาความรู้จากมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งนี้ เป็นแสงสว่างส่องนำทางให้นักศึกษาใหม่ก้าวเดินไปสู่เส้นทางที่ดีงาม พร้อมทั้งหล่อหลอมความผูกพันระหว่างรุ่นพี่และรุ่นน้อง และร่วมสืบสานแนวพระราชปณิธานของสมเด็จพระศรีนครินทราบรมราชชนนี ในการ “ปลูกป่า สร้างคน”

ลำดับถัดมาเป็นขบวนแห่บายศรีสู่ขวัญ และเข้า “พิธีฮ้องขวัญ” ให้แก่นักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 จากนั้นคณะผู้บริหารและคณาจารย์ร่วมผูกข้อมือรับขวัญให้แก่ตัวแทนนักศึกษาใหม่ จากนั้นจึงเป็นการเสิร์ฟสำรับแบบขันโตกให้กับทุกคนได้ร่วมชิมอาหารเมืองเหนือ ไปพร้อมกับรับชมการแสดงศิลปวัฒนธรรมล้านนาอันตระการตา ไม่ว่าจะเป็น การแสดง “มนต์เสน่ห์ชาติพันธุ์งามสีสันเมืองเชียงราย”, “งามอาภรณ์นครล้านนา”, “คีตกาลล้านนาฟ้อนนกกิ่งกะหร่าก้าโต” โดย ชมรมนาฏศิลป์ ชมรมดนตรีไทย-พื้นเมือง และปิดท้ายบรรยากาศแห่งความประทับใจด้วยการแสดงดนตรีจากชมรมดนตรีมหาวิทยาลัย MFU Band

นายกสภามหาวิทยาลัย   กล่าวในค่ำคืนอันเปี่ยมสุขนี้ว่า มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง มีความตั้งใจให้นักศึกษาใหม่ได้เรียนรู้ประเพณีและศิลปวัฒนธรรมล้านนา ผ่านกิจกรรมอันงดงาม ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการฮ้องขวัญแบบล้านนา ซึ่งเป็นการอวยพรและเรียกขวัญกำลังใจในการใช้ชีวิตในรั้วมหาวิทยาลัย นำมาซึ่งความเป็นสิริมงคล อีกทั้งนักศึกษายังได้เรียนรู้และร่วมสืบสานวัฒนธรรมล้านนาผ่านบทเพลง การแสดง และอาหาร ซึ่งเป็นของพื้นถิ่นที่ต้องพบเจอในชีวิตประจำวัน ทั้งยังได้สร้างความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีระหว่างนักศึกษารุ่นพี่และรุ่นน้อง ภายใต้บรรยากาศการต้อนรับอย่างอบอุ่น ท่ามกลางความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรม เพื่อพร้อมก้าวสู่การเป็นพลเมืองโลก และพร้อมปรับตัวเพื่อใช้ชีวิตได้อย่างมีความสุขต่อไป

MFU Hosts “Bai Si Su Kwan Ceremony and Khantoke Dinner 2026”, Welcoming Freshmen with Lanna Traditions, Northern Cuisine, and Spectacular Performances

Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), through the Student Development Affairs Division, organized the “Bai Si Su Kwan Ceremony, a traditional Thai blessing ceremony and Khantoke Dinner 2026” to warmly welcome over 4,400 first-year Thai and international students. Rooted in cherished Lanna traditions, the event offered freshmen an opportunity to embrace cultural diversity through local cuisine, music, spectacular performances, and friendships with peers from across Thailand and around the world.

The festivities commenced on the evening of Monday, July 27, 2026, at the 72nd Anniversary Queen’s Birthday Building (MFU Indoor Stadium). Many students arrived dressed in MFU’s Lanna-style attire, while distinguished guests, university executives, faculty members, and staff also wore beautiful traditional northern Thai clothing. The colorful attire complemented the folk music that filled the venue throughout the evening.

The ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Vanchai Sirichana, Chairman of the MFU Council and Founding President of MFU, who officially opened the event. Chinnavorn Teekawattanakorn, President of the Student Union Executive Board, delivered a report of the event. highlighting the joint efforts with the Student Clubs of the School of Law and the School of Cosmetic Science.

The event then continued with “Candle Lighting: Weaving the Red-Gold Bonds,” symbolizing the illumination of wisdom through the knowledge gained at the University and guiding new students toward a positive path.The activity also fostered strong bonds between senior and junior students and carried forward the royal vision of the Princess Mother to "Plant Forests, Build People."

A highlight of the evening was the ceremonial procession leading into the traditional “Hong Khwan” (Soul-Calling) ritual,  where university leaders and faculty members tied blessed threads onto  the wrist of student representatives. Participants then enjoyed a traditional Khantoke meal alongside impressive Lanna cultural performances, including "The Charm of Ethnic Diversity and Colors of Chiang Rai," "The Elegance of Lanna Attire," and "Lanna Melodies: Kingkala Bird and To Dance," presented by the Performing Arts Club and the Thai-Northern Traditional Music Club, before concluding the memorable night with a lively performance by the MFU Band.

Speaking during this joyful evening, Chairman of the MFU Council emphasized that MFU aims to introduce new students to  Lanna arts and heritage through meaningful experiences like the Hong Khwan blessing, which inspires encouragement and good fortune for campus life. She added that sharing local food, music, and traditions helps students build strong connections across diverse cultures, empowering them to adapt happily to university life and grow into quality global citizens.
