“MFU PRIDE 2026” ชวนชาวมหาวิทยาลัยร่วมเดินพาเหรดหลากสี สะท้อนถึงความงามและการเติบโตท่ามกลางอัตลักษณ์ที่หลากหลาย

มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง (มฟล.) โดย องค์การบริหาร องค์การนักศึกษา ร่วมกับ ชมรมนักศึกษาเพื่อสิทธิมนุษยชน MFU Photo Club ส่วนพัฒนานักศึกษา และ ส่วนพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศ พร้อมเครือข่ายนักศึกษา มฟล. จัดกิจกรรม “MFU PRIDE 2026” เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 14 สิงหาคม 2569 โดยเคลื่อนขบวนพาเหรดหลากสีสันจากถนนทางเข้ามหาวิทยาลัยสู่ลานดาว อันเป็นแลนด์มาร์กที่อยู่ใจกลางมหาวิทยาลัย

MFU PRIDE 2026 จัดขึ้นภายใต้แนวคิด การโอบรับความหลากหลายที่มีอยู่ในโลกปัจจุบัน ซึ่งความหลากหลายไม่ใช่เพียงความแตกต่างของผู้คน แต่เป็นรากฐานสำคัญของการสร้างสังคมที่เคารพศักดิ์ศรีความเป็นมนุษย์ เปิดโอกาสให้ทุกคนมีส่วนร่วมอย่างเท่าเทียม และสามารถอยู่ร่วมกันบนพื้นฐานของความเข้าใจซึ่งกันและกัน การส่งเสริมคุณค่าดังกล่าวจึงมิใช่เพียงประเด็นด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน หากแต่เป็นคุณลักษณะสำคัญของการพัฒนา “พลเมืองโลก” ที่สามารถใช้ชีวิตและทำงานร่วมกับผู้คนจากหลากหลายวัฒนธรรมได้อย่างสร้างสรรค์

มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ในฐานะพื้นที่อันเปิดกว้าง ที่มีนักศึกษา บุคลากร และเครือข่ายจากหลากหลายประเทศ เชื้อชาติ ภาษา วัฒนธรรม ตลอดจนอัตลักษณ์ จึงให้ความสำคัญกับการสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมแห่งการเรียนรู้ที่ยึดมั่นในหลัก Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) และการเคารพในศักดิ์ศรีความเป็นมนุษย์ของทุกคน โดยเชื่อว่าความแตกต่างมิใช่อุปสรรค หากแต่เป็นพลังสำคัญที่ทำให้ชุมชนมหาวิทยาลัยเข้มแข็งและเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน สอดคล้องกับแรงบันดาลใจของการจัดงานครั้งนี้ที่มาจาก “โต กิงกะหร่า” สิ่งมีชีวิตในตำนานล้านนาที่ประกอบขึ้นจากสัตว์หลากหลายชนิด ซึ่งแตกต่างกันแต่สามารถดำรงอยู่ร่วมกันได้อย่างกลมกลืน ความงดงามของกิงกะหร่าไม่ได้เกิดจากความเหมือนกัน หากเกิดจากการหลอมรวมของความแตกต่าง เช่นเดียวกับชุมชนมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงที่เติบโตได้ด้วยผู้คนที่หลากหลาย

พร้อมกันนั้น ประเทศไทยกำลังก้าวสู่บทบาทสำคัญบนเวทีโลก ในการเตรียมความพร้อมสู่การเป็นเจ้าภาพ WorldPride 2030 ซึ่งเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการแสดงให้เห็นถึงศักยภาพของประเทศไทยในฐานะสังคมที่เคารพความหลากหลาย เปิดกว้าง และให้คุณค่ากับสิทธิมนุษยชน ด้วยเหตุนี้ องค์การบริหาร องค์การนักศึกษา ร่วมกับ ชมรมนักศึกษาเพื่อสิทธิมนุษยชน MFU Photo Club และเครือข่ายนักศึกษาภายในมหาวิทยาลัย จึงร่วมกันริเริ่ม MFU PRIDE 2026 ภายใต้แนวคิด “Pride in U: The Spirit of Gingkara: Many Within Us” เพื่อสร้างพื้นที่แห่งการเรียนรู้ที่เชื่อมโยงอัตลักษณ์ท้องถิ่นของล้านนาเข้ากับคุณค่าระดับสากล สร้างความตระหนักรู้ด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน ผ่านกิจกรรมที่เปิดโอกาสให้ทุกคนได้แสดงออกถึงอัตลักษณ์ และสร้างความเข้าใจระหว่างกันบนพื้นฐานของความเคารพและความเท่าเทียม

MFU PRIDE 2026 จึงมิใช่เพียงกิจกรรมเฉลิมฉลองความหลากหลายทางเพศ หากแต่เป็นพื้นที่แห่งการเรียนรู้ที่เชื่อมโยงอัตลักษณ์ท้องถิ่นของล้านนาเข้ากับคุณค่าระดับสากล สร้างความตระหนักรู้ด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน ส่งเสริมการอยู่ร่วมกันบนความแตกต่าง และร่วมเตรียมความพร้อมของเยาวชนไทยในการก้าวสู่สังคมโลก พร้อมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการขับเคลื่อนประเทศไทยสู่การเป็นเจ้าภาพ WorldPride 2030 อย่างมีความหมายและยั่งยืน

ชินวร ฑีฆะวัฒนากร นายกองค์การบริหาร องค์การนักศึกษา มฟล. กล่าวในบทบาทแกนนำผู้จัดกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ว่า

    “มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงไม่ได้มีแค่ความหลากหลายทางความคิด แต่ยังมีความหลากหลายของผู้คนและตัวตน เราอยากให้ MFU PRIDE 2026 เป็นพื้นที่ที่ทุกคนสามารถเป็นตัวเองได้อย่างมั่นใจ ได้แสดงออกอย่างสร้างสรรค์ และรู้สึกว่าตัวเองมีคุณค่า เราอยากให้กิจกรรมนี้เป็นมากกว่างาน Pride แต่เป็นพื้นที่ที่เชื่อมโยงนักศึกษาทุกคนเข้าด้วยกัน สร้างความเข้าใจ เปิดกว้างต่อความแตกต่าง และทำให้มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงเป็นพื้นที่ที่ทุกคนรู้สึกว่า “ที่นี่มีพื้นที่สำหรับเรา” เพราะความแตกต่างไม่ใช่สิ่งที่ทำให้เราแตกแยก แต่คือสิ่งที่ทำให้ MFU ของเราสวยงามและมีความหมายมากยิ่งขึ้น”

MFU PRIDE 2026 Invites University Community to Colorful Parade Celebrating Diversity and Sustainable Growth

Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), through the Student Union, in collaboration with the MFU Human Rights Club, MFU Photo Club, Student Development Affairs Division, Global Relations Division, and student networks, organized the "MFU PRIDE 2026" on Friday, August 14, 2026. A colorful parade marched from the main entrance road to Lan Dao, the central landmark of MFU.

MFU PRIDE 2026 was held under the theme of embracing diversity in today's world. Diversity is not merely individual differences, but a fundamental foundation for building a society that respects human dignity, offers equal opportunities for all, and fosters peaceful coexistence based on mutual understanding. Promoting these values is therefore not only a human rights issue, but also an essential quality in developing "global citizens" capable of living and working creatively with people from diverse cultures.

As an open space home to students, staff, and networks from various countries, ethnicities, languages, cultures, and identities, Mae Fah Luang University places great importance on creating a learning environment grounded in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and respect for individual dignity. MFU believes that differences are not obstacles, but essential driving forces that enrich the university community and promote sustainable growth. This reflects the event's inspiration from "To Kingkara," a mythical creature in Lanna folklore composed of various distinct animals living together in harmony. The beauty of Kingkara stems not from uniformity, but from the integration of diversity, much like the MFU community, which thrives through its diverse people.

At the same time, Thailand is stepping into a crucial global role as it prepares to host WorldPride 2030, presenting a significant opportunity to showcase the nation's potential as an inclusive society that respects diversity and values human rights. In light of this, the Student Union, together with the MFU Human Rights Club, MFU Photo Club, and university student networks, initiated MFU PRIDE 2026 under the theme "Pride in U: The Spirit of Gingkara: Many Within Us". The initiative aims to create an experiential learning space bridging local Lanna identity with universal values, raising awareness of human rights through activities that allow individuals to express their identity and foster mutual understanding grounded in respect and equality.

MFU PRIDE 2026 is thus not merely a celebration of gender diversity, but a learning space connecting local Lanna heritage with global values. It promotes human rights awareness, encourages coexistence amidst differences, and helps prepare Thai youth to step onto the global stage as part of driving Thailand toward hosting WorldPride 2030 meaningfully and sustainably.

Chinnavorn Teekawattanakorn, President of the MFU Student Union and student lead for the event, stated:

“Mae Fah Luang University encompasses not only a diversity of thoughts, but also a rich diversity of people and identities. We want MFU PRIDE 2026 to be a space where everyone can confidently be themselves, express themselves creatively, and feel valued. We hope this event goes beyond a Pride parade, serving as a space that connects all students, fosters understanding, encourages openness to differences, and makes MFU a place where everyone feels ‘there is a space for us.’ Ultimately, our differences do not divide us; they are what make MFU even more beautiful and meaningful.”
