มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง (มฟล.) โดย ศูนย์บริการวิชาการ เข้าร่วมงานแถลงข่าวและส่งมอบนวัตกรรม “รับมือภัยน้ำ ด้วยวิจัยและนวัตกรรม : รู้ทัน บรรเทา เยียวยา ฟื้นฟู” เมื่อวันพุธที่ ๗ ตุลาคม ๒๕๖๙ ณ ศูนย์ส่งเสริมการวิจัยเพื่อมรดกทางวัฒนธรรม อาคาร วช.๘ โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก ศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ยศชนัน วงศ์สวัสดิ์ รองนายกรัฐมนตรี และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม (อว.) เป็นประธานในพิธี

โอกาสนี้ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ณัฐพล รังสฤษฎ์วรการ รักษาการแทนผู้ช่วยผู้อำนวยการศูนย์บริการวิชาการ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ได้รับเชิญเข้าร่วมงานแถลงข่าวและร่วมเสวนาเพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองด้านการนำงานวิจัยและนวัตกรรมไปใช้ในการบริหารจัดการภัยพิบัติ พร้อมทั้งนำเสนอ “Flood Eye” แพลตฟอร์มสารสนเทศเพื่อการเฝ้าระวัง ประเมิน และพยากรณ์ความเสี่ยงอุทกภัยเชิงพื้นที่ ซึ่งพัฒนาขึ้นโดยคณะนักวิจัย มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง เพื่อใช้เป็นกลไกสำคัญในการบริหารจัดการภัยพิบัติน้ำอย่างเป็นระบบ

สำหรับแพลตฟอร์ม “Flood Eye” เป็นนวัตกรรมที่ได้รับการพัฒนาขึ้นเพื่อเชื่อมโยงและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลสถานการณ์น้ำแบบบูรณาการจากหลากหลายแหล่งข้อมูล ทั้งปริมาณน้ำฝน ระดับน้ำ เรดาร์ตรวจอากาศ ข้อมูลจากเซนเซอร์ Flood Boy ข้อมูลลักษณะภูมิประเทศ ตลอดจนสถิติเหตุการณ์อุทกภัยในอดีต เพื่อนำมาประเมินความเสี่ยงเชิงพื้นที่ได้อย่างแม่นยำ โดยมีจุดเด่นสำคัญคือการพัฒนาฟังก์ชัน “Flood Village Profile” ที่สามารถวิเคราะห์และประเมินสถานการณ์ความเสี่ยงเจาะลึกได้ถึงระดับหมู่บ้าน ช่วยให้หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องและเจ้าหน้าที่ในพื้นที่สามารถติดตามสถานการณ์ ประเมินความเสี่ยงของแต่ละชุมชนได้อย่างตรงจุด และวางแผนเฝ้าระวังพร้อมรับมืออุทกภัยได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและทันท่วงที

การร่วมแถลงข่าว เสวนา และส่งมอบนวัตกรรม Flood Eye จากองค์ความรู้ของมหาวิทยาลัยสู่การใช้งานจริงในชุมชนครั้งนี้ สะท้อนถึงเจตนารมณ์อันมุ่งมั่นของมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ในการแปลงงานวิจัย เทคโนโลยี และนวัตกรรม ไปสู่การสร้างประโยชน์แก่สังคมอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม โดยเฉพาะการเสริมสร้างศักยภาพให้แก่ชุมชนและหน่วยงานท้องถิ่นให้มีข้อมูลสารสนเทศที่แม่นยำสำหรับเตรียมความพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติ ซึ่งเป็นการตอกย้ำบทบาทของมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ในการเป็นสถาบันอุดมศึกษาที่มุ่งสร้างสรรค์องค์ความรู้และนวัตกรรมเพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตและเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งให้แก่สังคมอย่างยั่งยืน

MFU Joins Press Conference and Panel Discussion, Handing Over "Flood Eye" Innovation for Spatial Flood Forecasting and Societal Benefit

Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), through the Center for Academic Services, participated in the official press conference and handover ceremony for the innovation showcase titled “Handling Water Hazards through Research and Innovation: Know, Mitigate, Heal, Restore” on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the Cultural Heritage Research Promotion Center, NRCT Building 8. The event was presided over by Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI)

On this occasion,Asst. Prof.Nattaphon Rangsaritvorakarn, Acting Assistant Director of the Center for Academic Services at MFU, was invited to speak at the press conference and participate in the panel discussion to share academic insights on disaster management. He also presented “Flood Eye,” an information platform developed by MFU researchers for spatial flood risk monitoring, assessment, and forecasting to support systematic disaster management.

The “Flood Eye” platform integrates and analyzes multi-source water situation data, including rainfall volume, water levels, weather radar imagery, readings from Flood Boy sensors, topographical data, and historical flood records. A key feature of the platform is the “Flood Village Profile,” which delivers granular situation analysis down to the village level. This enables local authorities and emergency responders to track conditions in real time, evaluate specific community risks, and deploy proactive flood prevention and response plans efficiently.

MFU’s participation in the press conference, panel discussion, and technology handover underscores its dedication to translating university research into tangible societal impact. By equipping local communities and agencies with accurate data for timely disaster preparedness, MFU reinforces its role as a leading institution committed to creating knowledge and innovation that enhances quality of life and builds sustainable community resilience.
